In addition to teaching many styles of drumming, he concentrates on teaching drummers to groove and play in a musical manner. This is accomplished by focusing on the following areas:
* Mastery and Practice
* Internal Hearing
* Strategies for learning songs and rhythms
* Moeller and Free Stroke (Stephen studied with Dom Famulero for six months)
* Relaxation
* Musical Analysis (Through the use of recordings and transcription software)
* Singing
* Unison Exercises
Stephen's teaching studio is located in West Los Angeles. He provides drum lessons to the most of the Los Angeles area: Culver City, Santa Monica, Mar-Vista, Beverly Hills, Venice, West Los Angeles, Palms.
